Patek Philippe Calatrava
A rare collector’s piece by Patek Philippe.
This elegant timepiece, reference 3744, was originally purchased in 1980 in Paris.
The original bracelet/strap was not on this watch when we bought it, a new, non-original leather strap has been fitted.
This is a full set (- strap), complete with its original box, warranty certificate, and even the original purchase invoice. For privacy reasons, personal details have been obscured in the photos.
The watch is in very good condition as seen in the photos.
In 2001, the watch received a full service at Slaets, a reputable authorized dealer. The corresponding service documentation is included.
One of the standout features of this watch is the beautiful patina on the dial. Fine surface cracking—commonly referred to as a “spider dial”—has developed in the top layer. These cracks are purely cosmetic, with no impact on the watch’s function or dial integrity. They are barely noticeable when worn, but modern cameras and phone lenses tend to exaggerate them.
